You’ve already taken the first step by getting on this website. A step in seeking.
Next is taking that step to make the phone call, to write that email, to send that text. Our intake line is 859-360-5151 which is the best way of making contact. You’ll be scheduled for an assessment or what we refer to as the intake. The first session focuses on both the issues that prompted you to seek counseling and it's an opportunity for your therapist to gather important history from you. This is also a time where you and your therapist are getting acquainted.
Next is coming up with a plan and schedule you next appointment. Committing to a healthier lifestyle is just that – a commitment, and it’s a big one that will take a lot a dedication. My commitment is to provide you with a sacred space, safe enough where you can actually meet yourself as you travel this journey.

Counseling is an interactive experience where we discover your goals and your passions and use them to help you travel down a path to the life you want. Each session is typically 50 minutes and all sessions are virtual using ZOOM.
100%! What happens in our sessions stays in our sessions.
The time that your counseling process will take depends on the complexity of your issues and your commitment and openness to your process. Just starting the counseling experience can cause a relief. Depending on your goals some issues can be resolved in just 2 or 3 sessions! Some may work through issues over a few months. Some may choose to be in counseling for years as a maintenance for mental health. Most clients tend to work on many complex issues so we let the client drive how long they choose to particpate.
We take most commercial insurances, Medicaid, and participate on several EAP panels. One can also pay out of pocket. Intake sessions are $130 and counseling session are $100. We just beginning to be able to take Medicare.
It all depends on what is going on with the client. A client in crisis may see the therapist once or twice a week. Once the initial crisis is defused and skills are built to cope and keep one relatively stable, we may move to an every other week schedule. We can even schedule of every three weeks. Once a client feels like they have met their goals, some may continue with counseling on a monthly basis or on an "as needed" basis in the name of checking in and staying engaged.
